Progress Measures
We believe that progress is the most important measure as it truly reflects the quality of teaching and learning, regardless of pupils' starting points. Progress is typically measured from Year 2 (the end of Key Stage 1) to Year 6 (the end of KS2).
At West End Primary School data analysis shows that children's progress is well above the national floor standards. The average progress measure for all schools is 0, where a school is above this, then children are considered to be making better than average progress.
Reading: -0.08 (national floor standard -5)
Writing: 2.73 (national floor standard -7)
Maths: 0.8 (national floor standard -5)
Age related Expected Standard
A measure used by the DFE is the percentage of pupils attaining Age Related Expectations (the nationally expected level for 11 year olds) or more by the end of Year 6 in Reading, Writing and Maths.
KS2 Pupils Achieving the Expected Standard or higher
Average Scaled Score
The average scaled score is useful in making comparisons across the whole class and with other schools.

Whilst we are proud of our results in Statutory Assessments we are also proud of the impact we have upon our children's education that cannot be measured in a test. We pride ourselves on the fact that our children come to school enthusiastic about their learning and they leave our school ready for the next step in their education.
